Authors Note: We wrote about this because the rose bowl is soon and Wisconsin.


Oregon or Wisconsin who do you pick? I know who i pick but its the rose bowl nobody knows for sure who will win. But I know that Oregon will bring its "A" game so will Wisconsin. It will be close but I know with Oregon's running back Lamichael James Oregon will win. The only problem for Oregon will be there quarterback is not very good and Wisconsin's quarterback is good.

America's Team

Authors Note: We wrote about cowboys and I picked to write about the Dallas Cowboys cause I really like them.

What do you think about when someone says cowboy. Well I think of America’s team, The Dallas Cowboys, the best team in the NFL. There starting quarterback is from Burlington, Wisconsin. They were originally called America’s team when they had Emmitt Smith one of the great running backs ever to play the game. Their best quarterback ever was probably Troy Aikman. My favorite player on the cowboys is Demarco Murray he was on my fantasy team. But sadly he fractured his ankle so he is out for the season. This is why the Dallas cowboys are the best NFL team.

Yumm... Tacos!!!

Authors Note: I decided to write about tacos because i like them a lot and they are my favorite food.

My favorite food is tacos. My favorite place to get tacos is chiles they put this fried chicken the chipotle sauce and bacon bits and cheese its so good i love them The way that my mom makes tacos is weird but good she fries the taco shell in oil then takes it out. That is why tacos are the best food in the world. 

Black and Red

Authors Note: We choose this topic cause i like red and black because it is school spirit.

My favorite colors are red and black I like those colors because it is our school colors and also I like it on shoes and clothes. I like it though on everything like my color of my room and also on my posters. Overall it is the best color.

Merry Christmas

Authors Note: We decided to write about Christmas because its almost christmas and we like getting presents.

What do you want for Christmas? I usually want something big like iPod or Xbox or maybe new shoes but this year I just want money so I can just go buy stuff   that I actually want not toys and clothes I hate that I usually get from my family. So I just ask for money so then when they say what I got I say what I got it is so much better. That’s is why I want money this year.

Do you like summer?

Summer Is a very big bummer

Because it is too hot

Good thing I don’t have to sleep in a cot

There so are many pretty flowers

Also so many towers

If you like summer well then you must like the sun

But I don’t like the sun

But I do like a ton of water

Water reminds me of a great otter

That is why summer is such a bummer

Do You Like To Dig Holes?

Authors note: I decided to write about Holes because it was the book i read the most recently and i liked and understood the lesson that could be made in the story and i also really liked the book and movie.


Has anyone ever felt the feeling to have to dig holes in the hot sun of Texas? And having to do it for no reason because they were not guilty of that crime that they were accused of. Well that’s how Stanley Yelnats felt in Louis Sachars “Holes”.There is a lot of lesson that kids can learn about being a bad kid and how you can get punished for your actions and also not giving up.


The main lesson that you can learn in the beginning of the book. Is that kids or adults too who do bad things won’t be rewarded instead will have consequences to face. Like in “holes” By: Louis Sachar the people find him guilty of stealing when he actually didn't do it, but he still faced the consequences as if he actually did it.


Throughout the book there was many lesson that took place like in the book. such as in the beginning when the kid realized he had to go to camp green he didn't get down he got up and still fought and tried to prove his innocence. So he showed perseverance by not giving up.

The first time i read this book i didn't catch the main lesson but after i went over it a few time i started to understand. Also realized the way the author made the purpose of the book.

There is a lot of lessons that kids can learn for the book “Holes by Louis Sachar. Kids will learn after there consequences. Despite Stanley being Innocent in the book it still shows if you do something wrong you will face some sort of consequences if its killing someone or just not listing to your mom you will face some consequences. No matter what you do you will get punished for your actions and not giving up.

Patriots Essay

Authors Note;

 My note is that i am so proud of our country.

Yes I am proud of the United States of America because why wouldn’t I be proud of the county that I live in and that that army and navy fights for me and the rest of the people that live there. I know that the United States of America is the best country on the earth.

           

Some reasons too back that up are... we had a civil war we fought against each other and still came back and we are now all  country another is the great depression we fought back from that and went into a good time after that then no we are in a downfall but nobody doesn’t stop looking for job.

Also we have the best army, navy, air force and we have been in plenty of wars and we almost always never lose any battles and thank from serving everyone who has served and protected our country.

I are country is great because it is the land of the free so people can come here and there are no slaves there isn’t a dictator there isn’t a king that bosses people around there is a president and that president is very important but he can’t boss people around and the president is who you the people choose it isn’t just who the king or queen pictures and if you don’t like someone you don’t get killed like in another country.

Also we have another thing called freedom of speech where if you don’t like something you can protest then the people won’t kill you about what you say like in other countries. That is a very important one cause you want to voice your opinion.

In conclusion to all this information this is why America or united states of america is the best country in America. I know this is opinion but the facts that I stated should persuade you to think that.

College Basketball

Author's Note: I was watcing the nba draft and i was tired of hearing all the kids that were freshmen going to the pros. also hearing stories about basketball players retiring then going bankrupt cause they were spending to much and didnt have a job. So i wanted to write about those stats and why you should stay in college.

According to northjersey.com, 38% of college basketball players graduate, while the other 62 % don’t graduate. This statistic is eye opening because the player can’t count on making it to the NBA so they should have a backup plan if it doesn’t work out. Even if it does work they usually don’t go to the NBA for that long so they College is important whether they make it to the NBA or not

About one in 75, or approximately 1.2 percent of NCAA men’s basketball players will get drafted by a NBA team. This is another eye opening stat to the players in college basketball. This stat shows how hard it is to get to the NBA so the players should have a backup plan.

Also another stat that is interesting is that the average the average age people retire in the NBA is 33 and the average death by a sports player is 67 both according to strengthplanet.com. So there is a 44 year difference between there you usually need to do something like get a job. Unless you are like Michael Jordan. so you need a college

degree to do most jobs.

In conclusion to all of this information these are reasons why you should graduate for school and have a backup plan if the professional career in basketball doesn’t work out.

This is why college is important weather you make it to the NBA or not.
